Top 10 Questions About Designing Destination Weddings with SG
Will you conduct a site visit of the venue? What will the site visit entail?
We include one complimentary site visit to the venue unless it’s a place we’re very familiar with. In that case, we leave the decision up to you. During the site visit, we will walk all the spaces as well as make recommendations to fine tune your designs. We will go over the logistics, such as setup and strike times, with your event manager to ensure a seamless experience for you.
Where are you located? Do you have a showroom? What can we expect to see in the showroom?
Our design center is located in Homestead, FL. There, you would get to see examples of centerpieces, specialty linens, table settings, and drapery fabrics during the consultation. Since our process involves visualizing large rooms, our consultation will also be heavily focused on providing you with event pictures, floor plans, and 3D renderings of the designs you select.
How can I trust that you can help me visualize what each room design will look like?
Once we’ve learned more about your vision, we will draw up 3D renderings and floor plans to help you visualize the room design. These tools allow you to see each of the design elements as they would be displayed in the room. They take the guesswork out of interpreting ideas, and showcase our ability as event designers.
How involved do I need to be in the process?
We encourage clients to be as involved or uninvolved in the process of creation as they wish to be.The last thing you should feel on your wedding day is stress or anxiety regarding your decor.
How do you communicate with us? How can I expect to work with you, considering I don’t live in Florida?
Our most common method of communication with our clients is via WhatsApp. We use it to set up consultations, as well as to trade ideas and pictures more easily, since we understand that everyone may not always be able to answer emails immediately. We book in-person or virtual Zoom meetings if a face-to-face meeting is preferred. Of course, we also communicate via email and conference calls as well.
How can I see all your inventory?
With over 100 photo galleries on our website and daily postings on Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook, you always have access to a large part of our collections. If we’ve missed sharing pictures of something you have in mind, please ask! It’s likely we have what you’re looking for in our database. We also encourage and invite you to see as many of our live events as you’d like in order to get the full experience.
How can I touch and feel the fabrics and linens you have? How can I determine if the color of the linen are a match to what I’m looking for?
We have samples of centerpieces, specialty linens, table settings, and drapery fabrics, and will provide you with event pictures and 3D renderings, where we depict actual colors and textures of the fabrics we use in real life. We can also send pictures of fabrics from our showrooms via WhatsApp.
Have you worked at or are familiar with the venue we have selected?
Having designed more than 700 weddings, we have worked at most of the major event venues and hotels catering to South Asian Weddings and Events throughout Florida. It’s likely we’ve worked at your venue, or at the very least are familiar with your venue. Feel free to ask us for a list of our preferred venues.
Do you take multiple events?
We value your eagerness to have our team design your events. Therefore, on occasion, and commonly on long holiday weekends, we consider working with multiple clients. To maintain the integrity of the service we provide and events we produce, our team works long hours, and therefore the second booking will incur an additional 20% fee to their subtotal.
How does the weather affect my outdoor wedding? If we had to move indoors, how would that affect my design?
We will work with you to select designs that will enhance your space to ensure a beautiful wedding regardless of whether it’s indoors or outdoors. We will also create floor plans for both your primary and backup spaces, to ensure a seamless process for all involved when making the weather call. With our best intentions for your vision in mind, we will work with you to make the weather call 24 hours prior to the event start time, and will only request that the event be moved indoors if rain chances are 30% or higher.
