10 FREQUENT QUESTIONS ABOUT OUTDOOR CEREMONIES

Why have you incorporated Pipe and Drape in my Mandap package?

The Pipe and Drape will be used only in the event that the wedding ceremony is moved indoors due to inclement weather. Since the weather call is made 24 hours prior to the day of the ceremony, it’s an item that we would have already secured and brought with us. However, if the ceremony remains outdoors, we can give you a 50% refund on the cost of the Pipe and Drape.

I’m torn about the Drape Canopies. I love how they provide shade for my guests, but it’s a large investment. What happens to them if we move indoors due to inclement weather?

The Drape Canopies can be used to enhance the indoor space. The added element of fabric drapery always makes a large ballroom feel more intimate, since we lose the natural landscape of the outdoors. As an additional consideration, if the Ceremony is forced to move indoors and you choose not to incorporate them, we can offer you a 50% refund.

When do you make the weather call?

The weather call is made 24 hours prior to the day of the event.

Who provides the staging for the Mandap outdoors?

It’s best to ask your venue if they will provide the staging for the outdoor ceremony. If they are unable, they may have a vendor they prefer to use.

What do you do to keep our flowers fresh for outdoor events?

With the knowledge of our experienced floral designers, we: Carefully select sturdy flowers Saturate the floral foam with water in advance Produce the foundation of the arrangements in advance Mist and re-mist the flowers when positioned in place and plan for lots of cooler space!

Do you provide a covering for the Mandap?

Yes, all our outdoor Mandaps are designed with a fabric overhang for extra shade. This allows for less squinting from the sun’s bright rays; and as a result, beautiful pictures!

Does SG Include the Aisle Runner in your package?

Since the weather call is made 24 hours prior to the day of the ceremony, it’s an item that we would have already secured and brought with us. Therefore, if the ceremony remains outdoors, we can give you a 50% refund on the cost of the Aisle Runner.

What time would you begin setup for my Ceremony if it is early in the morning?

Most venues allow for the structure of the Mandap to be set up the night before. We tarp down the entire Mandap to avoid condensation forming on the stage cover or resulting in damp drapes. The fresh flowers are set early in the morning before the Ceremony.

Do you recommend Rose Petals in the Aisle for an outdoor Ceremony?

This purely depends on the location of the Ceremony. If the Ceremony is on an ocean-front property (which means ocean breezes), the rose petals work best scattered down the aisle for a whimsical feel. If the ceremony is in a courtyard of a property, it’s worth taking a chance to create scrolls of petals down the Aisle.

I love Candles. Can I incorporate them in my outdoor Ceremony?

Natural candlelight isn’t very visible unless your Ceremony is in the evening, in which case we would use electric candles.
